Watz Academy offers two tracks built for different stages of an athlete's journey. Team Programs — Spring 2026 Competitive team-based programs for athletes ages 10U through 15U, based in North County San Diego.
Watz Academy Starz is our AAU travel team program designed for athletes who are ready to take their game to a competitive level. Athletes commit to two training sessions per week, two development sessions each month, and compete in one to two tournaments/month.
RegisterWatz Academy Rising Starz is our league competitive program for developing players, building toward AAU. They train twice a week, compete in local league games, and have the option to step into tournament competition when they're ready.
RegisterWatz Academy Starz in Progress is where younger athletes and beginners start their basketball journey with us. Meeting once per week, the program prioritizes foundational skill development and confidence-building from the very first session.

Season Fee: $400 per month
Total Season Cost: $1,200
Tournament fees are separate. Each tournament ranges from $400–$550 per team and is split evenly among rostered players. We’d like to enter every tournament with 8 players or more.
First Payment Due: March 1
Roster spots are secured only after the first payment is received. Registration & Scheduling will be handled through Playbook.
We practice on Mondays and Wednesdays, plus additional skills & conditioning at Carlsbad High School & 24 Fitness Carlsbad Mall. Tournaments and league games are on weekends. Once you join our youth AAU teams, you get access to our app to see all practices and games.
