Watz Academy is a boutique, performance-based basketball development program based in North County San Diego. We are not a recreational program. We are built for athletes who are serious about developing their game in a structured, competitive, and intentional environment. Every athlete who walks through our doors is here for a reason, and every session they attend is designed with that reason in mind.
We keep our rosters small, our coaching direct, and our standards high because that is the only way real development happens.

Watz Academy is a community first and a basketball program second. Relationships, accountability, and genuine care for every athlete are what hold it together. Coach Watson builds real connections that extend well beyond the court, mentoring athletes on character, competing with integrity, and what it takes to push through when things get tough. Team bonding is built into the Watz Academy experience. Outside of practice, athletes share experiences that develop trust and chemistry, including San Diego State games, altitude training, and other team activities that strengthen relationships and expose athletes to what the next level of competition actually looks and feels like.
