By using our website or enrolling in any Watz Academy program, you agree to the following terms.
Please read this page carefully. These Terms of Use govern your access to the Watz Academy website at watzacademy.com and your participation in any of our training programs, team programs, or events. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our site or enroll in our programs.
These terms apply to all visitors of watzacademy.com and all participants enrolled in any Watz Academy program, including but not limited to the Watz Academy Starz, Rising Starz, and Starz in Progress team programs, as well as individual, small group, and structured group training sessions. Where the participant is a minor, these terms apply to the parent or legal guardian acting on their behalf.
The content on watzacademy.com, including text, images, program descriptions, and all other materials, is the property of Watz Academy and is provided for informational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or repurpose any content from this website without prior written permission from Watz Academy.
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not use it in any way that could damage the reputation of Watz Academy, disrupt its operations, or infringe on the rights of others.
Enrollment in any Watz Academy program is subject to availability. We operate with limited roster spots by design, and registration does not guarantee placement. We reserve the right to evaluate each prospective athlete's eligibility, skill level, and program fit before confirming their place in any of our programs.
High school athletes seeking to join training programs may be required to complete an evaluation prior to acceptance. All decisions regarding placement are made at the discretion of Watz Academy staff and coaching.
Program fees are outlined at the time of registration and are subject to change between seasons. Payment is due at the time of enrollment unless otherwise arranged. Watz Academy uses a secure third-party payment processor and does not store your payment information directly.
Fees are non-refundable as a general rule, with one exception: if Watz Academy cancels a program or session, affected families will hear from us promptly and will be offered either a credit toward a future session or a full refund. Personal withdrawals may be considered for a refund at the discretion of program staff, evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Watz Academy is a competitive, structured, and intentional development environment. All athletes, parents, and guardians are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with that standard. This includes respecting coaches, teammates, opposing players, officials, and facility rules at all practices, training sessions, games, and tournaments.
Watz Academy reserves the right to remove any athlete or family from a program, without refund, if their behavior is deemed disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to the program environment. This applies to conduct at sessions, events, and on any digital platform, including social media.
Basketball is an athletic pursuit that carries real physical risks, and participation in any Watz Academy program means the participant and their parent or guardian recognize and accept that. Our coaches and staff are committed to maintaining a safe training environment and take reasonable precautions to do so, though the nature of the sport means we cannot guarantee injuries will never occur.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate. If an athlete has a medical condition, injury, or limitation that may affect their ability to train safely, it must be disclosed to Watz Academy staff prior to participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watz Academy and its staff, coaches, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in its programs or use of its website. This includes injuries sustained during practices, training sessions, games, or travel to and from Watz Academy events.
Watz Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property at any program location or event.
By enrolling in a Watz Academy program, you consent to the possible use of your athlete's likeness in photos and videos captured at training sessions, games, and events. This content may be used on our website and social media platforms for promotional and educational purposes.
If you do not wish for your athlete to be included in any media, please notify us in writing at watzacademy@gmail.com before your first session.
Our name, logo, program names, training methods, and website content belong to Watz Academy and are protected as intellectual property. Unauthorized use or imitation of anything associated with our brand is strictly off-limits.
Watz Academy reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the website or participation in programs following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page at the start of each new season.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or your participation in Watz Academy programs will be handled in accordance with California law.
If you have any questions about these terms, please reach out before enrolling.
